Scoop –The stuff at Premier Foods Limited in Nairobi could not put up with the fact there friendly boss was resigning after serving for only four years.
Emotions took over the entire establishment with activities brought to a standstill on Friday November 26 as over 500 workers celebrated Mr Joseph Choge for his humanly treatment while serving them.
They carried him shoulders high and sung praise songs in honor of the CEO as some were seen shedding tears of disbelief.
According to the employees, he is a simple man who no one could think was their boss and helped whenever called upon.
“Goodbyes are never easy. Forever Grateful to my people at Peptang. Forever grateful to you our customers. Let’s keep winning together,” he stated.
Choge 39 had revealed in a previous interviews that being open and easy to interact with makes key elements in his leadership style.
“One of the best decisions I ever made was choosing the right people to work with. You are who you surround yourself with. I surround myself with smart people who challenge me and have my back,” he added.
He confirmed that he is heading to Unga Group PLC as the Managing Director; an appointment he is supposed to take from December 31, 2021 as Nicholas Hutchnson leaves.
