Royal Marriage –Two Mt Kenya politicians who recently bumped into each other during last year’s campaigns are now engaged.
Mathira Constituency Member of Parliament Eric Wammbui and Murang’a County Woman Representative Betty Maina have accepted each other just seven months after their Parliamentary victory.
Over the weekend, Mr Wamumbi officially proposed to MP Betty. A request that the latter quickly accepted and flaunted this on social media.
Present in the function were among others, Governors Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Susan Kihika (Nakuru), and Nominated Senator Veronicah Maina.
“One day at a time sweet Jesus. He makes all things beautiful in his own time. Thanks my sisters for organising this wonderful surprise. My dear Eric, you rock!” Betty boasted on Facebook.
On his part, Eric shared every moment from the event and captioned this with “And out of love, she said yes!”
MP Wamumbi is now set to visit Betty’s home next Saturday where he will officially meet her parents and the clan to table an official proposal with the family.
