Fraud –Three persons in Nairobi are facing a multimillion property scandal arising from their attempt to seize a National Social Security Fund NSSF land.
On Monday June 3, the three accused were produced before a Nairobi court over the sh 350 million land ownership fiasco.
The court papers indicated that the three are members of the same family and who do different types of business in Nairobi.
Despite failing to take a plea, they stated in their defence documents that the case was forced on them to silence them.
“This court is the only recourse to the accused persons against the historical exercise of state power by an overzealous DPP and DCI against innocent persons,” Lawyer representing them said.
In a similar case, NSSF lost a sh 2 billion case against the government after the fund failed to produce Title Deeds for 13 pieces of land.
The judge ruled that the land located in Mlolongo area was acquired irregularly having found out that one of the land is on the road reserve.
