Funding -Baby Ayah Lundt will now be treated with a whopping sh 240 million raised by well-wishers after the family pleaded for help.
The family conducted a series of fundraisers with the help of Samaritans around the globe what saw money raised in steps and now it has been confirmed that all is set and ready.
Ayah was born in January last year at 8.3 pounds. And at nine months, her developmental progress suddenly reversed. She could no longer lift her head while lying down, sit on her own or clap. Mother reported.
The ailing baby would later be diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy which is a genetic disease found in one of 10,000 children worldwide.
Doctors then prescribed Zolgensma which costs sh 240 million and considered the most expensive drug ever.
The family started raising funds before she would turn two years so that to ensure maximum drug response.
