Economy –President William Ruto has today Monday May 13 met with his economic teams amid uproar form some quarters on the proposed Finance Bill 2024 that seems to tax key foodstuffs.
In the meeting, a source revealed that Ruto stressed on their deliberate and intentional management of the economy to make the country self sufficient and sustainable
“Our management of the economy is deliberate and intentional as we lay the building blocks of Kenya’s transformation. In all this, the people are at the centre of our plans,” President Ruto noted.
The head of State was hosting the Treasury and Central Bank teams, at the State House Nairobi where Economist David Ndii was also present.
Earlier in the day, Ruto was at Lenana School where he officially announced the re-opening of schools country wide.
