Tax -Lang’ata Member of Parliament MP Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o has asked content creators in the country to be ready to pay taxes to government.

Speaking on Friday June 9 morning, the ODM MP noted that most content creators in the country make huge monies online and flaunt lavish lifestyle what attracted the State to come for their loot.

The first time lawmaker noted, through a clip, shared on social media, that most of his friends whowork online among them Kabi wa Jesus as well as Habil Mutua, have been making a killing and the lifestyle they flaunt cannot be ignored by Kenya Revenue Authority KRA.

He also recounted his days online saying , he used to earn a decent living online as well.

“I was one of them and I have been making money as a content creator, So nijitee nikiwa wapi? My friend Kabi wa Jesus makes a lot. Where they live, bought Range Rover for his wife.

“Are these people who you tell me they should not pay taxes? I looked at Habil Mutua’s page which had Range Rover Discovery 4 that costs about 6 million shillings,” Jalang’o narrated.

Due to this, Jalang’o noted that the State will not relent on its pursuit to deduct the monies from local content creators in the country.
