Office –Former Director of Public Prosecution DPP Noordin Haji has been sworn into his new role at the Intelligence office.
President William Ruto exuded a lot of confidence in the ability of Mr. Haji following his past history in public service.
President William Ruto, on Wednesday June 14, said, at the helm of National Intelligence Service NIS, Haji will help deliver timely intel for use.
“Mr Haji congratulations on this very well-merited appointment into the Office of the Director General of a very important organ of the security agencies of the Republic of Kenya.
“I am confident that you have assembled the requisite knowledge, understanding experience to be able to discharge your responsibility at a time when the world is experiencing a multiplicity of challenges,” Ruto added during the swearing in exercise.
Ruto picked Haji last month with as section of Rights bodies raising their reservations that he had unresolved issues at his former office.
Among the things they raised were his dropping of several high-profile cases against Kenya Kwanza-allied politicians.
Before being the DPP, Haji served as Deputy Director of the Counter Organised Crime Unit within the National Intelligence Service.
