Business -Linnet Kathambi is an entrepreneur and a successful type; who built her wealth from small savings after she had lost her job.
She is the young woman who built ex-Tahidi High comedian Joseph Kinuthia Kamau alias Omosh a 3 bedroom house in Malaa as part of her corporate Social Responsibility.
She described her life as full of charity having come from poverty to rise to where she is as a Chief Executive Officer CEO of a multi-million timber company.
Ms Linnet described in detail how she build her wealth from scratch after losing her job back in 2018 where she had been employed in a timber yard in Meru her home town. After losing the job, she embarked on another difficult life of hawking construction materials from site to site.
Today, Linnet runs a timber yard dubbed Sung Timber and has since diversified it into a reputable building materials suppliers. She began the business with only sh 500,000 capital which she put together from both her savings and some from her supportive husband.
The lady, from her story, hustled to establish her client base which has grown by leaps and bounds.
In her own words, she told Enterprise that her success was not that easy. It came from reinvesting profits and diversification of her products. “We started small but today, SUNG Timber is the parent company to Homes By Sung which deals with real estates constructions,” she divulged.
