Accident –Cabinet Secretary Roads and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen has promised a thorough investigation into the fatal Londiani Junction accident that has since claimed over 55 persons.

Through his official socials on Friday June 30, the CS noted with concern that his ministry will be delivering a comprehensive statement on the saddening killer incident.

He updated that join rescue mission was already at the scene to try and save the few victims who were still trapped in the crashed cars.

“Rescue efforts are underway involving officers from various agencies of national and county governments, elected leaders, the Redcross and other well-wishers. More information will be shared with the public.

“The rescue efforts will be followed by investigations to determine the cause of the crash. I take this opportunity to condole with the families, friends of the bereaved, and wish quick recovery to those injured following this tragic incident,” his first statement read.

Other Kenyans took issue with National Highway Authority for their poor road designs that put lives of many motorisst to danger.

“I keep saying most of fatal accidents in Kenya today KeNHA is a shareholder contributor. Poorly designed sign post or no sign post, repairing roads these days is a joke, there are no designated areas far away from road for public to either walk in safety or sell without interfering with transportation. Everything has been grabbed and encroachment is the order of the day,” Boby commented.

Social media user Abuga Makori, on his part absolved Transport Ministry on this one saying accidents such as this had happened before.

The Londiani car crash occurred on Friday June 30 evening with police confirming that it had claimed several lives.
