Digitization –Kenya Kwanza administration has changed its official operations from manual to fully digital.
Chairing the process launched today Tuesday January 31 morning, President William Ruto stated that the only way his government was going to be efficient in service delivery is through digitization.
The first paperless meeting session was conducted today at Statehouse Kenya chaired by President William Ruto.
“Kenyans will be able to access government services from anywhere, from their home or offices, without having to go unnecessarily to government offices and wait in long queues,” Ruto noted.
Photos would then be shared by the Presidential Communication Service PCS showing Ruto and the entire cabinet each with a new tablet. On their desks there were no papers.
The development is a follow-up of the President’s January 6 directive to the Secretary to the Cabinet to step up efforts to ensure that his administration goes fully paperless to make service delivery fast and efficient.
“It will be expected of them to leverage on technology to make government more efficient,” he said.
He decried that the traditional way of conducting State business had led to average delivery of services to Kenyans.
